Note on Hedging/EV/EG
Many novices routinely get hung up on EV discussions without realizing that they should almost always be hedging any substantial win.

2p2 Magazine Blows
The other articles are kind of bad.
In other news, I think I found a stake. This will be sweet. Been out of the game for a while now. Been a grind to pay my bills. CC debt mounting up, cash advances are ezpz though. And my landlord has a business so I can just run my rent on the CC as well. Allahu akbar.

Its all a ruse...
It all starts with the Super Bowl. Apparently I didn’t even realize that every single player prop could lose by a single reception or carry. So that was the beginning of the slide. It has ended this morning with the remainder of my credit tied into parlays with Louisville -9. I’m finished. I’ve managed to burn up the last of my credit. I don’t know what I’ll do for work now or to pay my bills.
I’ve always made fun of Justin7 for being a leeching scam artist, but it was only because I was trying to make the same thing happen for me and didn’t have the ability that he did (I can’t even run a basic regression, let alone do a multiple linear regression incorrectly.) If I had a platform like SBR where I could constantly find new marks for my hustles, then perhaps I would be still betting. But instead I’m busto and I guess Justin7 has the last laugh. It is really infuriating to see him and his polo shirts keep making videos and having people just send him +EV plays when they could be giving those handouts to me instead. But whatever… Even my attempt at affiliate marketing failed. I made like $26 from Greensmoke85. (Thanks btw. Maybe I’ll spend it on my last meal so I won’t be eating BK.) Maybe jjgold knows something about the affiliate marketing hustle that is SBR. Or maybe I should just pay jjgold more than SBR does. I don’t know. It is sad.
Also, beware of the people you meet in this industry. They’re all a bunch of deceptive beggars. I thought B00T was my friend. But then he got married and didn’t even invite me to the wedding. Now he is trying to steal $3.50 from me. I can’t live like this. First he was just using me to help originate for him. Then I learned he wasn’t really my friend ever. Then when I needed help the most he turned his back on me. I hope he’s happy. Maybe he’ll spend that $3.50 on a McRib.
Best of luck to the rest of you degenerates. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. I hope I never have to see or meet any of you again.
PS: Fuck you NS2. You’re the source of all the terrible things in this world.
PPS: What a crushing way to bust out.

Retard
This gai doesn't know what EV means. I won't even touch on how his advice is completely wrong most of the time and extremely misguided at others. But that isn't what EV means. Getting a Yale JD for free is not "150k of +EV". FFS.
It disgusts me how this guy fools naive children into thinking he's an expert at anything other than writing nonsense of extremely limited use to anyone.

Finacetards
Here is an allegedly Ivy educated finance gai. But this post is heinous for a variety of reasons. I'll keep it short though (NB: The problem is a theoretical coin flipping contest).
1) He can't identify a Kelly BR. Think about the example of a MD who just graduated from John Hopkins. His net worth could be -200k, and he could have several hundred grand of known bills in the future for debt service and what not. But is this his Kelly BR? Obv not. He's well into the millions due to his future earning potential. Not including earning potential while including liabilities is dumb.
2) Saying that Kelly is "super flawed" without even understand Kelly is the height of ignorance. In reality Kelly is almost perfect for this scenario. Lets take a different example: You're walking down the street with $100 in your pocket. Someone offers you 100-1 on a coinflip. How do you position size? Clearly you'd bet all $100 in your pocket, but if someone was loaning you money to place on this wager how would that change your wager (Hint: You'd wager every dollar he could give you.)? Of course this makes a "no bad things" assumption where he won't kidnap and kill you for welching on your debt. But in this example his Kelly BR includes money not readily available regardless whether this is a trust fund that matures tomorrow, your sweat equity for the next 20 years or money sitting at home. They're all represented in a Kelly BR.
3) Finnish people can be traced to two male ancestors. So he's likely suffering from founder effects and the shallow gene pool that he was produced from.

Neophtyes and Attitude
I keep reading posts by neophytes continually calling people who're rude or hold contempt for others as bitter, angry, upset, etc. Lets present what I see in a random circumstance. I'll do a couple of these.
1) Here a poster makes an inane post that is quickly answered. He then ignores the advice he is given and then insults everyone. When I read his post I see someone who is arrogant and delusional, he simply wanted someone to corroborate his world view and when he didn't get that simply forged ahead with his stupid plan. He then goes on with revisionist history to conclude that people were bitter at his amazingly poor decisions in all regards. No one would treat you like this in person because no one would suffer you.
2) Here another notable poster (POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOGS) asks an incredibly stupid question. Apparently he was unaware that the winner of the AFC and winner of the NFC play each other in the Super Bowl. Thankfully he posted on the subject and now knows. At first I thought it was an obvious troll post mocking some of the recent ones, apparently I gave too much credit to Poogs as it appears he was in earnest. I feel nothing but contempt for his incredible stupidity. He wants to bet on NFL futures but doesn't even understand the structure? I'm not bitter. I'm amazed that someone is this fucking dumb. Not in a "I made a casual mistake because I was in a rush", but in a "How do you humanly function" sort of way. Anyway, he will be a fulltime professional this year. Somehow I feel this can only help me.
Lets cover something else. Neophytes are greedy. They want you to help them but typically offer nothing in return. I had the recent unpleasant experience of being asked a bunch of questions by someone over IRC. There is no quid pro quo in these arrangements. It is simply me giving a handout to people who're lazy and stupid. Clam talks about a "willingness to learn" being the critical aspect of success. Yet none of the questions I'm asked are new or inventive. Most I have answered personally on either this blog or in numerous threads at multiple forums. (Due to the simplistic nature of the questions they are likely answered by dozens if not hundreds of people.) If someone is too lazy to bother to even read widely disseminated information, and offers me no value in a relationship, why should I take on a charity case such as this? I have more than enough friends to educate and help, and enough business contacts to occupy my time. So why should I assist someone who has demonstrated to me a lack of desire and ability?
The next time that you ask a question to someone and they are rude to you. Ask yourself: "Would I ever ask such an inane and stupid fucking question in person?" Chances are no. You've never written Bill Gates for Excel help. You've never held a séance to contact Mr. Kelly about his eponymous criterion. You don't waste people's time in public. It is not that the world of sports bettors is rude. It is simply that successful people don't waste their time on lazy and useless people. Before you blame a community of successful individuals, maybe some introspection into why you're considered a fool by virtually everyone in a community would be wise.
NB: Special shout out to weirdchess. You've posted some incredibly stupid things in the guise of advice. I'm not sure if you make me feel better or worse about getting rejected admission to Stanford.
